To wake up

An espresso is great for waking up with, of course, but tea will do as well. We have a strong breakfast tea called Een Wijs Besluit. This black Ceylon grows in Sri Lanka and is flavored with real bergamot oil and the sweetness comes from the cornflower blossom. It has a very full aroma with a balance of sweet and bitter. A Wise Decision is fine for breakfast, but also in between with a nice piece of chocolate.

Brewing recommendation: For one cup, use 3 grams of tea and steep for 1 to 2 minutes with water just off the boil (about 90 degrees) 

Along with cake

Tea combines extremely well with food. How about a slice of pie? Held In Mok is most delicious with a sweet scone or a slice of banana bread. The green Rooibos with cloves is a very spicy, fresh and pungent tea. 

Brewing recommendation: For one cup, use 3 grams of tea. Let the boiled water cool a little longer until it is about 70 degrees. If you brew Spicy in too hot water, the spice will burn and you will get a very bitter taste. Allow to steep for 3 - 5 minutes.

At lunch

In Asia, they have known it for a long time; lunch and tea are an excellent combination! Depending on the lunch dish you choose, we have a matching tea at Anne&Max. Jasmine is delicious with all of our clubs. Our Even Niks comes from China and is traditionally flavored with dried jasmine blossoms. It tastes soft and floral and is delicious with seafood, such as the Yacht Club.

Een Beetje Geluk is a white tea with citrus and floral sweetness. Smooth and sweet. White tea is a variety drawn from the first young heads of the tea plant. You drink Een Beetje Geluk for example with an oat cracker.

Brewing Recommendation: For one cup, use 3 grams of tea and steep for 2 to 4 minutes with water that is briefly off the boil (about 85 degrees) 

Set at home in no time!

Of course, you can enjoy all different kinds of teas at Anne&Max; but you can also take them home to make at home. Like our Vandaag Blijf Ik Binnen. This is a distinct Rooibos blend with orange, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger root. The sweet tea tastes great with a warm piece of apple pie or other sweets.

Brewing recommendation: Use 2 grams per cup. Use water just off the boil (about 90 degrees) and steep for about 2 to 3 minutes.
