Anne&Max is located on the corner of Oostenburgervoorstraat and Oostenburgergracht, on an island that has been keeping things lively for centuries.
Inside, you can look out through large windows onto the street and the water. You can take a seat at a window table, orderbreakfastor a heartylunch, and let the day get off to a leisurely start. On the lounge sofa, you can lose yourself in the newspaper; at the reading table, you can keep working. The south-facing terrace catches the sun every afternoon. Once you’re sitting there, you won’t want to leave…
Anne serves you a flat white made with oats, while Max assembles a towering club sandwich. The espresso is single-origin and direct-trade, and the filter coffee is “ organic ” from Ethiopia, with the option of decaf or iced. “ Planet Friendly ” dishes are always on the menu, and there’s a play area and a kids’ menu for the little ones.
